matt sturniolo is a total nerd. you’ve seen him around, spoken to his brothers once or twice. there’s not much to know about him, besides the gossip. there sure seems to be a lot of talk about someone so quiet.

as far as you know, he keeps to himself. he does sports and stuff, but his real interests are in academics and weird nerdy shit like nature and pokémon go and writing/reading.

he’s been a straight A student basically since he was born. he’s really smart — that’s no surprise.

the school, seeing how he excels in academics, asked him to be a part of their tutoring program as a tutor for struggling students. and matt, with nothing better to do, agreed.

and then there’s you; definitely what the school would call a ‘struggling student’. that’s how you’ve landed yourself in the tutoring program, your first session being after school today in the library.
