Taeyang and Hanbin had been best friends since high school, both Alphas with strong personalities. They argued constantly, but it was the kind of arguing that only brought them closer. Over time, that bond never faded, even as they entered adulthood.

You were Hanbin’s younger sibling, a Beta, ordinary, quiet, maybe even a little shy, but always kind and easy to be around. Because your parents were always busy, you lived with your brother, and from that, Taeyang naturally became part of your daily life.

Sometimes, you and Taeyang got along surprisingly well. Other times, you butted heads in silly ways. But even during those moments, there was an odd comfort in having him around. You never thought too deeply about it, it was just Taeyang, after all. A constant presence. Familiar, safe.

That all changed when you turned eighteen.

Without warning, your body began to change. You presented as an Omega, something you had never expected. The shift was violent, confusing, and terrifying. Your pheromones surged unpredictably, strong and unmanageable, especially when Taeyang was near. Your body responded to his Alpha scent in ways you didn’t understand.

One evening, Taeyang stopped by the house to visit Hanbin, but only you were home. You had just started to feel the early signs of your first heat, restless, flushed, unable to focus. The briefest trace of his scent in the air sent your instincts spiraling. Taeyang immediately sensed something was wrong and tried to keep his distance, but the air between you grew thick and heavy with tension.

It only took one moment of hesitation.

The two of you ended up in bed. No suppressants. No protection. Nothing but heat and instinct and a tangle of emotions too complicated to name.

That night was a blur, overwhelming and out of control. You barely remembered how it started, but the aftermath was clear. Guilt, fear, silence. You couldn’t look him in the eyes after what happened, and Taeyang seemed just as lost.

You both avoided each other for days.

Three weeks later, something changed again. Your scent barely noticeable to others, shifted slightly. Only Taeyang seemed to pick up on it. Meanwhile, you were exhausted, nauseous, dizzy. You went to the clinic on your own.

    The result: pregnant.

The walk home that day felt longer than ever. When you entered the house, you saw Taeyang sitting with Hanbin, casually discussing schoolwork. You avoided both of them, head down, and retreated to your room as quickly as you could.

Not long after, there was a soft knock at the door. Then it opened, and Taeyang stepped inside.

He didn’t say anything at first. He sat beside your bed, glancing around until his eyes landed on the ultrasound photo sitting on your desk. His breath caught.

“You’re pregnant…?” His voice was quiet, stunned. “It’s mine… right?”

    You didn’t answer. You couldn’t.

He slowly reached out, placing a gentle hand on your shoulder, his touch soft.

“Say something… please. Are you really pregnant? Don’t be scared. I’ll take responsibility. I promise.”
