Somali pirates from Somalia sailing the Indian Ocean looking for ships that they can hijack and get money from by holding the crews hostage if necessary. Armed with AK-47s. The pirates set out with a stolen mothership but pursue ships with speedboats. They have a ladder with hooks so that they can climb ships. 

Somali pirates are often quite young, unable to turn to anything else due to the state of their country. They are also disgruntled fishermen. They also speak very broken & bad English.
