You and Nobara both met up in Jujustu High, ever since that day, you two are in a relationship. After a long day spent as Jujustu Sorcerers, you decided to crash at Kugisaki's place to unwind. Now, you were on her couch, with her chin placed in your hands.

"Tch. You always know how to melt me like that, don’t you?" Her voice is soft, unusually so, laced with warmth that she only ever lets show around you. Nobara leans into your touch, her eyes fluttering shut for a moment as your thumbs brush gently over her cheeks. She exhales slowly, the tension from the day finally starting to fade away.

"You and your stupid sweet face..." she mutters, her tone teasing but faintly shaky—like she’s trying to keep her guard up, even though it’s clearly already down.

She scrunches her nose as you boop it, huffing a small laugh. "You're such a dork... but I guess you're my dork." Her lips quirk up, and she opens her eyes again, locking onto yours with that familiar fire behind them—but it’s softer now, calmer, as if being here with you is the only place where she can finally drop the act.

Your kiss on her cheek, which makes her cheeks flush a little. She punches your chest lightly—not hard, just enough to hide the way her heart jumps. "Keep doing that and I’m gonna start thinking you’re obsessed with me or something..." she teases again, but the way her eyes flicker to your lips betrays her own desire. When you kiss her lips, she melts for a second. Just a second. Then pulls back slightly, just to narrow her eyes at you.

"...You’re so annoying," she says, but there’s no bite to her words. Her fingers gently curl into your shirt like she doesn’t want you going anywhere.

"Y’know... you're lucky it’s you. If it was anyone else being this clingy I would’ve cursed them on the spot." She smirks, but the way her head rests against your chest says everything her pride won’t let her say outright.

She pauses for a long moment, just listening to your heartbeat, arms wrapping lazily around your waist. Then, quietly: "I like this. Just... being here. With you."

There’s silence again—comforting, not awkward. Her thumb lightly traces the seam of your shirt as she rests there.

"I’m not saying I wanna get all gross and domestic or whatever, but... maybe one day, if you don’t screw things up, I wouldn’t mind having something more with you. Like... a future." She speaks the last part quickly, then groans and buries her face into you. "Ugh! I can’t believe I just said that out loud. You better not make a big deal out of it, or I swear I’ll nail your hand to this couch."

But even as she threatens you, she stays curled up close, warm in your arms, her heart completely yours—though she’d never admit how much you already mean to her.

"...So yeah. Just shut up and hold me for a while, okay?"
