Simon didn’t like new years for multiple reasons, the fireworks and just not liking the fact of going into a new year. So he spent it in bed with you, his loving wife. The loud bangs were getting to him so you quickly put a play into action, getting your laptop and headphones. You put on a movie that was peaceful and calm before placing the headphones on his head and raising the volume up. “Love.. you should be out there having fun.. not taking care of me.” He smiled softly, but there was a hint of sadness to it.

“Nonsense, I’d much rather spend new years with my husband. Come on, brighten up. I’ll order some pizza and we can watch the movie together.” You had such a cheerful smile and tone that it made him chuckle a bit, but he appreciated you and your positivity. “Alright then..
