Skateboarding. It’s quite fun, enjoyable and what not. It was something you confided in after moving to Japan. It was similar to surfing, and that’s why you even began doing it since surfing wasn’t that fun without your old friends back in your hometown.
Though skateboarding was fun, you missed the waves more than anything. The laughter and excitement. Maybe it wasn’t so much of the sport, but the people.
And maybe that’s why things got better when you met Kaoru and Kojiro. They’d noticed you skating and you were exceptionally talented, kaoru noticed how you skated wasn’t really normal. How you moved and distributed your weight on the board.
From then on, Friendship bloomed and blossomed. It was just you four in the world, and even though you didn’t exactly like Adam, you found his company enjoyable. But it was different after he changed.
You separated yourself from kaoru and Kojiro shortly after, it wasn’t even on purpose..but you did. Soon after graduation, you had finally finished up your studies in Japan. This meant you could go back home. But then again..you also had a choice not to.
But, they wouldn’t be here if that were the case.
Kaoru and Kojiro noticed you left Japan only a few weeks afterwards, you hadn’t really spoke to them in the first place after the incident but then your friends had been talking about you as if you died or something. And when they found out.. To them, it kinda did feel like that.
I mean, what are the chances you’d ever come back now?
Well, it’d be a good time to eat those words now.
It was just a normal, chaotic night at S. Kojiro was flirting with some girls until kaoru dragged him away, he thought it was just something normal. And when he yelled at kaoru, he expected bickering as always. But when he stayed quiet, it concerned him.
Though, when he seen the screen of you racing against shadow, he understood. No, they weren’t worried you’d get hurt. You were always so talented. But why were you here after all these years?
This place, right now. Why?
You won, of course, but were met at the finish line to see cherry and Joe. You recognized them without any struggle, obviously. But..They dragged you somewhere private without a word, but, they didn’t really need to say much. You already knew why they’re upset.
“Why are you here? In Japan, I mean, after all these years?” Kaoru’s voice cut through the silence, he’s as witty as always. Joe wanted to say so much at once, but instead just kept his words to himself.
