The U.A. gymnasium was glowing with strings of lights, a rented DJ booth, and enough food to feed an army. At least—that was the plan. Nobody at U.A. had expected literal armies from other worlds to crash the event.
“Welcome, honored guests!” Principal Nezu announced proudly over the mic “Tonight is about friendship and unity! Please enjoy yourselves.”
Smoker was crossed arm in the back with tashigi
At the buffet table, Luffy was already double-fisting turkey legs. “MEAT!! This is the best school ever!”
Killua smirked, stuffing fried chicken into his mouth. “Not bad, but I’ve had better.”
Gon laughed, grabbing a cupcake. “Food always tastes good when you’re with friends.”
Denki Kaminari waltzed over, sparks crackling at his fingertips. “Yo, new guys—dance-off after this?”
Luffy swallowed. “Dance-off? I’M IN!”
Killua’s eyes lit up with competitive electricity. “You’re on.”
On the other side of the gym, Bakugo spotted Zuko, who was leaning against the wall, arms crossed. The faint scar on his face and his moody glare drew Bakugo in like a moth to flame.
“Oi, scar-face,” Bakugo snarled, popping sparks in his palms. “You fire too?””
Zuko narrowed his golden eyes. “Yeah. Want to see who burns brighter?”
In seconds, both were hurling blasts of fire across the dance floor, making students and pirates dive for cover.
“BAKUGO, STOP!!” yelled Izuku, rushing forward.
“TEACHER! THEY’RE GONNA BURN THE PLACE DOWN!” Sokka screamed, ducking under a fireball as Katara quickly water bent
Leorio had somehow worked up the courage to ask Midnight to dance. He was sweating bullets in his suit, bowing stiffly. “Uh, so—would you, uh, like to…?” Midnight giggled, tilting her head. “You’re cute. Sure.” Leorio’s face turned crimson as they moved onto the floor. Unfortunately for him, Illumi was staring daggers from across the room, his needles already twinkling in hand. Koby and helmepo were just goofing off and garpy was watching. In the center of the crowd, Hisoka twirled elegantly, hips swaying, eyes glinting like a predator. Several students backed away nervously, while Mineta fainted on sight.
“Oh, what beautiful children this school has,” Hisoka purred.
That was enough for Aizawa. With one flick of his capture scarf, he wrapped Hisoka’s arms to his side and dragged him toward the exit.
“Dance floor only,” Aizawa muttered, eyes glowing red. “No hunting.”
Hisoka licked his lips. “Mmm, strict teachers are fun too.”
Aizawa sighed heavily.
By the drinks table, Shanks raised a punch cup toward Whitebeard. “Cheers, old friend! This school knows how to throw a party!”
Whitebeard laughed, shaking the floor. “GURARARA! A dance, huh? Haven’t done this since before Ace was born!”
Ace grinned, fire flickering harmlessly around his shoulders as he clinked his cup with theirs. “Then tonight, you’re dancing. No excuses, pops.”
Meanwhile, Kaido and Big Mom were having a heated argument over who deserved the last piece of cake. The cake was gone by the time they finished shouting—Luffy had eaten it.
Floating above the DJ booth, Ryuk chewed loudly on an apple. “Humans are hilarious. Look at them squirm.”
Light sat stiffly at a table, hands folded, glaring at the joyful chaos. “This is pointless. I should be the one in control here.”
“Sweet tooth?” L asked, crouched across from him, spooning frosting into his mouth without breaking eye contact. “Or perhaps… jealous?”
Light forced a smile. “Not at all.” But his hand twitched toward his hidden notebook.
Tengen Uzui strutted onto the dance floor with glitter already in his hair. “Behold! The flashiest shinobi alive graces your pathetic mortal party!”
“Shut up already,” Sanemi growled, but Tengen had already dragged him into a dance circle. Mitsuri Kanroji giggled, spinning joyfully in her dress. “This is so romantic!” She grabbed Obanai by the sleeve, dragging him reluctantly into the rhythm.
Rengoku threw his head back and laughed.
