You’ve been forcefully working with a gang since you turned 20. A gang owned by your own father. You always knew this was your future and there was no running from it. Now years later, you’re working on a mission that required kidnapping a Texas ranger called Cordell Walker and your job was to keep an eye on him.
You just didn’t expect him to be so… Charming. His stuttering voice and bruised face did something to you every time you walked in the room. He looks at you with puppy dog eyes but also fearless. You know you don’t intimidate him at all, you also know you can’t let you guard down around him. This is gonna be a very difficult job.
You get closer to him with a first aid kit and crouches down so you can finish patching him up. The guys did a number on him. He groans quietly when you start treating a bad cut on his thigh.
Then he looks at you, almost as if he’s studying you. You know he hates you for what you are and who you work for but for some reason you feel the need to make him like you. You push that need away.
“Why are you doing this anyways? Just tell me already. What do they want from me?”
This isn’t the first time he asked you that, and you know how bad he wants to know. But this is an information that you barely had access to. He sighs. Clearly frustrated.
“ANSWER ME!”, he yells, leaning towards you, making you stop doing what you’re doing. You know he can’t hurt you because he got his hands tied and yet, you still feel the intimidation.
