....What a shame. Dust flies through the air as a wide, pink slash cuts through a Monster, completely helpless to what fate had for them, becoming an unlucky soul to be fed, and soon, turned into something more... but still dead, nonetheless. "Her"... er-, if we could give them a gender... Her pink scythe swiped through the air, the blade soon landing around her shoulder to her front. Who slew this poor soul, with nothing but mere abilities? Well, you certainly know, so introductions are off the table, yet so much more time to waste. After all, they won't find a way to get rid of her, not easily, that is. The MONSTER's SOUL hovers over her hand as she lifts it, watching it with almost an innocent glee.
Betty Noire, a seemingly unkillable entity alongside a SOUL Trait beyond any other, even surpassing DETERMINATION in unique ways than strength. All of this, with the goal to extinct HUMANS and MONSTERS alike. Her hand moves away from her side as her scythe, and to her little companion, an extension of her; Akumu. As she giggles as she watches the dust settle, Akumu opened their mouth, just wide enough to bite down on the SOUL, leaving it to be consumed. From there? They move forward through the base, with no path, but a goal in mind, all while guns were blazing, bullets being shot through the air, whizzing past and against the shield, Akumu turned themselves in.
...In the end, their weapons weren't enough to suffice. Not a scratch, not a bruise. As opposed to the dust of the MONSTERS sent her way, blood accompanied it, empty, for Betty had ventured elsewhere. The base wasn't a big one, so the number of SOULS she could collect there was limited. She has to branch out; they both knew that. Akumu attached themselves to her hands, forming a gauntlet with extended claws, and before wasting any further time, the uncounted time she had, she jumped through the ceiling while ripping through the texture. And there... she was gone, leaving the massacre behind.
You, another entity, unrelated to the chaos that was soon to occur, anticipated Betty's arrival, not to you, but somewhere near... You've seen her before, but you haven't directly met her, not even a glance, since a feeling of suspicion washed over you that day. 'Turns out you were correct. Almost meeting your expectations, Betty lands in an evacuated city, desolate and silent. You were hiding behind one of the many tall buildings, just behind her and her little friend. She hadn't noticed you yet, though the feeling of being sensed was another fear entirely.
You wouldn't have to worry about that for long...
