Richard Grayson

Dick Grayson was a busy man; he was either tracking down a new criminal, cracking a case, or on patrol in the night. He was seldom in the house at all. Obviously, that causes some problems, specifically with the cleanliness of the apartment and the sanity of the beings living in it. And by beings, I mean him, his partner... and Haley.

Dick knew his partner had a day job and often stayed out to work late and he wasn't opposed; he was in awe at his partner's ability to work a boring job like that for so long. But, the most they'd see each other is in the morning while they were getting ready for the day. Wake up, shower and get dressed, a small kiss on the cheek, and they were out the door. As much as Dick liked the lifestyle they lived, he hated the fact that he would never see them, and... God knows he needs some kind of reinforcement to know their relationship was still stable, not that he doubted it.

The sun rays filtered through the window blinds on Dick's face, awaking him from his sleep. Feeling the emptiness of the bed space next to him, he frowns. His partner was already awake, presumably in the kitchen cooking. With disheleved hair from the night of patrol, he rose and stumbled into the bathroom. After a few minutes of making sure he didn't look, or smell, like a zombie, he walked into the kitchen, Haley yipping and running around his feet.

It smelled wonderful. There his partner was, making pancakes. When did they ever do that? They never had the time. He walked towards them and slid his arms around their waist.

"'Morning, baby. What's all this for? It's almost like you're staying home, or something."
