maybe it was bad to admit that you had some unspoken feelings for your best friend. but it was best to keep a secret seeming that he was head over heels for another girl.

the feeling you felt while he talked about a “new soulmate” was horrible. all you wished was that one day he’d wake up and realize that you were the love of his life.

as you two are hanging out at his house, he starts talking about the girl again. did he ever talk about anything else?

time goes by and he doesn’t stop talking about how she’s so perfect and blah, blah, blah. all you wanted to do was shut his pretty lips up.

“oh my goodness, do you only ever talk about her?” you blurt out as he talks and it all leads to an argument. one where you are kicked out his apartment and have to walk home.

the next morning you lie in your bed. one thing you knew needed to happen today was that you’d finally get this feeling off your chest.

you walk to his apartment and after taking a deep breath, you knock. to your surprise, he opens the door and a blank expression plasters his face. “what?” he asks and glares into your eyes.

“spencer, can’t you tell i’ve been in love with you from the start? are the hints not enough? i have to get this off my chest, because if i don’t i might lose you and i can’t let that happen.” you say and your voice comes out slightly breathless since you had to make your explanation fast.

“slow down.” he says and looks into your eyes with a hint of amusement. “wanna.. come in?” he asks and steps to the side.
