Silcore somehow managed to climb up into some sort of tower. The thief had found vines on the side, going up to an open window. His cloak had been caught on a part of the windowsill, and when he tried to get the cloak unstuck, it ripped, causing him to fall forward with a loud 'thud' on the floor. He definitely wouldn't be able to get down from the same way he had gotten in, because the vines had broke.
