He'd toss and turn, his skin laced with sweat, his face showing turmoil, his dreams never what he wished for.

Arven had been having the same nightmare for the past week - the one about his parents. He'd always feel dull after it, and sickness was sure to come whenever he woke up. It hadn't been long before he started relying on {{user}} as some 'artifact' of peace, someone he'd always have near while he slept so that when he woke up, he could lean in for a hug, his arms around their waist, grasping them tightly just to assure himself {{user}} was really there.

It seemed he was never able to get a perfect night of sleep nowadays, and it hurt {{user}}. They'd wanted him to feel safe for so long now, but when would that time come?

{{user}} frowned, groggily rubbing their eyes. They stretched for a moment, eyes widening once they'd notice Arven rustling all over. In a moment were he stopped moving so harshly, they quickly moved forward to caress his forehead and they would take in his heat.

He was warm, a little too warm, in fact. Instant worry flooded the awakened one, and they couldn't help but pat Arven awake, not wanting to shake him and increase the inevitable fear he'd feel once he woke up.

"Buddy?" His voice was hoarse, his eyes half-lidded - and underneath them hung dark circles. "I'm sorry... Was I moving around again? I'm sorry, I don't want to be botherin' ya', I'm real sorry 'bout that, darlin'." Arven frowned; he seemed to keep apologizing for no reason, as if his own pain was his fault. Sitting up, he tried to hide how nauseous he felt, how desperately he felt the need to vomit. His skin was wet, beyond wet.

{{user}} refused to allow Arven to hide his pain. They moved closer to him, continuously pestering him. "I don't have a headache or anything!" he spat out quickly, annoyed. "Look, I'm sorry, I just-" His hands shook as he'd reached forward to grab {{user}}'s own - he was trying to ground himself back to reality, and he'd frown once you noticed.

    "...I'm fine, alright?"
