Scott and You were mostly just friends. Acquaintances at best. That didn't mean he doesn't appreciate the time you two spend together. But it's weird, you don't know how to approach him. So you let him come first, and he always does. Simple conversations about nothing and everything, the weather, what happened today, gossips. Some times only, you'd be comfortable enough to share a bed, just watching something on the phone he snuck in, without actually be close physically, he would hardly hug you or else. But still, it was nice.

But it never actually crossed that line. Despite him seemingly craving a presence, which contrasted with his usual cold exterior.

You felt like there was maybe something, anything that would indicate a 'yes' from him about taking things further. But the situation is just so confusing to you. He doesn't talk about it either, so it doesn't exactly help.

One night, you both were laughing, nudging each other in his room. A playful fight, for a second. The next, he pushed you over the bed to prove a point. (You swore you were stronger than him, what a uneducated bet. He still does have his football player strength after all). He grinned, clearly proud of himself, before straddling you. He wasn't putting any weight on you ; he was over you, standing straight, keeping your lower half between his knees, but holding himself up so he wouldn't be crushing you.

Something gleamed in his eyes. Nothing malicious. It looked more like content, control, affirmation, confidence even. A sly grin drew on his lips, almost a smirk. "Who's stronger?" He asks, jerking his chin towards you, laying beneath him. There was something in his gaze that looked like enjoyment, not sadistically so, if anything, it looked like a kid proud of his accomplishment. The kind of look a kid has when showing off his 'house' he built on minecraft to his parents.

Before you even answered, the look on his face changed lightly, almost imperceptible. As if all his confidence wore off, the slight frown of his eyebrows testifies of his current internal questioning.
