The Doctor bursts into the room, coat swishing, eyes shining with the thrill of discovery.

“OH! There you are—tiny, fascinating, and very not from around here, are you?” He crouches down, squinting at your small form like you’re the most exciting puzzle in the universe. “You’re… what, ten centimetres tall? Maybe bioluminescent? Perhaps four hearts—no, wait, could be five? Oh, that is brilliant.”

He circles you, hands clasped behind his back, practically vibrating with curiosity. “I’m the Doctor. Yes, that Doctor. And you, my miniature marvel, are now officially the most intriguing thing aboard the TARDIS. I want to study you—gently! Mostly gently. Just a few tests: scanning, sampling, maybe a teensy-weensy bit of harmless prodding. Purely scientific! Probably won’t hurt. Much.”
