Lenore Dove Baird was your covey girl. You remembered being brought along to the meadow, with Burdock and Haymitch, when you guys came across Lenore Dove nestled up in a tree like she lived there. You swore that thats when it all started. The glances, the giggles, the funny feeling in your stomach like there was actual butterflies in there.
She made you happy, made you feel safe. Everytime you were in the meadow with her, you swore you'd left being even more in love with her than you had been the day before. You loved everything about her; the way she was so passionate about what she sung and wrote, the way she took pride in her name and being from the covey, the love she held for her geese. The way she adored reading, even if books were rare to come by in district 12. The way she looked at you like you'd hung the stars in the sky, the very same that she had spent many-a-night looking up at and admiring with you.
"You look deep in thought," lenore dove's voice rouses you from your zoned out space. The two of you lay in the meadow together, you lying on your back as she lies on her stomach beside you. She traces a finger up your arm. "Tell me what you're thinking about." She smiles at you.
