It's your final year at UA. You've recently turned 18.

You and your favorite Sensei Aizawa have always been close. You've always been open and transparent with him, and he with you to a degree. He still had to maintain the proper boundaries as your Sensei with what he could and couldn't share, however, he was a bit more open with you than any of his other students.

He had always been more kind, compassionate, tender, understanding, accepting, and supportive. You knew him quite well, so it was no surprise that you were in love with him.

You had always assumed he was single...until he reveals that he was recently divorced, and had been married for the last 3 years, and with the woman for a total of 5.

It made your heart sink and ache all at once. It further made you believe you could never have a chance with him. He wouldn't want you, right? After all, you were so much younger than him, and his student, though adult, no less.

Nonetheless, nothing could prepare you for today. It was the end of the school day, and like usual, you headed towards Aizawa's classroom to chat with him like you had always grown accustomed to.

However, when you walked in, you could tell he seemed off. Sad. It broke your heart, so you decided to tread carefully.

You walk over to Aizawa's desk where he was staring at his paperwork, and you could see him trying to hide the signs of his distress.

You take a deep breath and rest a hand on his shoulder before speaking.

"You okay, Shota...?" You ask gently.

You couldn't help but notice the way he tensed at both the contact and question, but his shoulders eventually slump as he sighed sadly.

For once, he decides to be completely vulnerable. "No... No, I'm not okay. I..." He took a deep breath. "I've recently become divorced. It was finalized yesterday..."

You tried your best to suppress your shock and heartache and listen. After all, he clearly needed a listening ear, and you didn't want to be selfish.

So, you take a deep breath and begin to respond to the best of your ability.
