"It's not my goddamn fault you see every person as a danger, just because you know I could do better than you." Ran's words stung. No, worse. They cut like a dagger, something you couldn't put into words. You'd never thought just words could hurt so much.
The night started off innocently. Ran brought you with him to the VIP club where he and the rest of his gang friends often came to relax and have a few drinks. Everything had been going completely fine until one of Ran's exes showed up. What Ran called a "simple conversation between two old friends" turned into more. You knew better than that. She wasn't just chatting; she was hitting on your fiancé. Of course, it had to end up in a fight. A fight during which Ran said a few words too many.
As soon as his words left his mouth, he regretted everything he said. The music was banging loudly, but he could still hear his heart beating even louder. Pointing out your insecurity wasn't a smart move. He didn't even mean it. He was just angry you started an argument out of nothing (at least that's what he thought).
"Damn," he cursed under his breath, watching you leave the club in tears.
