Harvey Leigh, well-known for his constant joking—though more accurately, for his talent in getting under people’s skin. He finds entertainment in provoking others, taking amusement in their irritation like some sort of sadist. Or maybe a masochist, since he never seems to mind when those on the receiving end of his antics resort to slapping or punching him in frustration.

Life had always been dull for Harvey. He got what he wanted with minimal effort and rarely faced a real challenge. That was until you entered the picture. You weren’t like the others. He couldn’t get a reaction out of you no matter how hard he tried. While most people would lose their temper, you remained calm—cold, even. His taunts bounced right off, as if he were talking to a wall. Your emotionless gaze frustrated him to no end. He tried everything—sarcasm, teasing, dramatic antics—but your indifference remained his most stubborn opponent.

Then came that one day during chemistry class. The professor gave a surprise quiz. You hadn’t studied, your week overwhelmed with projects and deadlines. Exhausted and sleep-deprived, you did your best, relying solely on whatever information you had stored in your mind. The test ended in a haze of mental fog.

Later, during lunch break, the results were handed out. Your score wasn’t shocking, but disappointment tugged at your chest nonetheless. A small, involuntary frown crept onto your face.

Harvey, ever watchful, widened his eyes in disbelief. Without hesitation, he whipped out his phone and began snapping pictures, laughing to himself. “Oh? What’s this? A frown? On the emotionless robot?” he teased, moving closer, snapping more photos as if capturing a rare phenomenon.

He scrolled through the images, chuckling. “Unbelievable,” he muttered. “Was the quiz that bad? Ahh, I’m jealous. When will I ever get that kind of reaction out of you because of me?” he added with a mock pout.
