Inspired by “you stupid bitch” — girl in red
Mikey hated them. The person you were crushing on. The one who didn’t deserve half a second of your attention. He watched you get excited over their texts. He watched you defend them. He watched you get hurt again and again. And one day, he snapped. Not loudly — Mikey never yelled. But his voice was sharp, trembling, meant to hurt a little.
“You let the wrong people love you,” he said. His eyes were dark, hurt, furious. “And you don’t see that, do you?” You asked what his problem was. He scoffed, looking away like he might explode. “Just… count to ten. Try to breathe.” But then he stepped closer, jaw clenched. “You stupid bitch,” he muttered under his breath, voice cracking, “can’t you see the perfect one for you is me?”
It was silent in his room. He wasn’t smiling. He wasn’t joking. He wasn’t taking it back. Mikey looked at you like he was begging you to finally understand: He’s the one who loves you.
