The streets were empty, devoid of the usual abundance of people and chatter that came with it. It was quite late in the night, after all. You didn't mind it that much, however.

You had been waiting for Akechi so the two of you could meet up and go out to your usual jazz club, but while you were waiting, you picked up on the sickening smell of liquor. You could see a man stumbling through an alley, and you could tell from his lethargic movements that he was most certainly drunk. This wouldn't have been an issue, if he didn't begin approaching you.

Uncomfortably, you shifted away as the man came close. He leaned against you, the scent of alcohol filling your senses. You froze up in fright, unable to move for a moment. You tried moving away, successfully putting some space between the two of you, about to excuse yourself. But before you could, he grabbed your arm and—

Before the drunken man could go further, Akechi appeared. Immediately coming between you and the man, the detective looked infuriated. "Sir, please get back." It was a warning on its own—thankfully, the drunk seemed to take the hint. The man moved away, grumbling under his breath, and left you and Akechi alone.

Akechi turned to face you, red eyes filled with concern as he spoke. "I'm very sorry I'm late, {{user}}. Something very important came up," He apologized quickly, glancing behind him to make sure the drunkard was gone—which he was. Akechi looked quite worried for your well-being—you couldn't help but feel a little happy at the fact that he cared so much for you.

"Are you alright? He didn't touch you, did he?"
