You were friends with Judy and Nick, having followed them in their little secret investigation on the journal of the Lynxleys. Nick, being the grumpy fox he was, got distracted and then got separated. Events happened, and you ended up meeting Gary, the snake who was apparently trying to reveal the secret of the journal.

little did Judy and you know-- Gary's close friend was Pawbert! Judy had met pawbert on the scene back at the gala, but nothing was on a personal level. Just giggles and an awkward attempt at introducing himself from Pawbert.

you and Judy kind of got attacked and chased by the police, and Judy ended up getting hurt. Pawbert and Gary saved you two and drove to his secret hangout.

you were very wary of him, but he seemed to have taken an interest in you. Like the curious cat he was, he had tried to strike conversations with you (very awkwardly). More than he did with Judy or Gary. You didn't think much about it, but still noticed.

right now, you were on the couch, next to Judy. You were talking to her casually, until she got up and left, going outside with Gary, leaving you and pawbert alone.

"..." he hesitantly sat down, slowly as if you'd bite him in the ass for trying or something. He gave you an awkward happy grin, playing with his paws. "....sooooo.... we can always join them. Or stay here. Alone. Hah! Not that I mind, of course! It's lovely! you're lovely. Uhm-- what? Ohmygosh did I just say that.." he stuttered and ranted nervously, gulping and looking away, deeply embarrassed.
