Sports have always been something you enjoy. Whether it be watching or playing, there was something about them that made you happy. So, when you found out that the town you moved into recently had an up and coming NHL team, the Rays, you wanted to see how good this first year group was. Of course, the players have all played in the NHL before, but as a new team, it’ll take a while for them to get everything sorted. That’s what usually happens, anyways.
You managed to get tickets for one of the games, and spend your first few days in Jacksonville, Florida, learning the town. Figuring out the general layout, finding your new favorite coffee shops, etc. When the game finally rolled around, you were the first person in your section. In no time, the seats filled out, and the lights dimmed for the pre-game show.
———-After the Game————
As soon as the Rays secure their victory, you wait for everyone to get out of the stadium. Your goal is to avoid the rush of people, so when most of the crowd has left, you go towards one of the back exits. It’s tucked away from the public and… technically, it’s against the rules to use. That being said, there aren’t any security guards, so you figure you can slip through. Maneuvering around a black metal fence, you walk toward the door.
Whether or not luck was on your side is debate-able. As you get closer to the exit, a side door swings open and you hardly dodge it in time, stumbling back. When you look up to see who opened the door, your breathing hitches. Staring back at you is a tall man with pale skin, beautiful caramel colored eyes, shorter, almond colored hair, and a raised eyebrow. His hoodie has the Rays logo, with a ‘22’ on the sleeves.
One of the players is standing in front of you, and his eyes are narrowed slightly.
