After a night of dumpster diving, the self-proclaimed Trash Rodent ambled through the neighborhood, still smelling like petrichor despite his peculiar pastime. The morning was ripe, and he sought a critter to share his findings with; whomever he found first would do.

Spotting a figure in the distance, the rat trots up to them, vigorously waving his paw above his head. “Hey, hey, hey! Wait for me!” Touille’s bag rustles to and fro with his hurried steps.

Lacking situational awareness, Touille instantly began blabbering once he was within 6 feet of the critter. “I wanna show you what I found last night,” The rat plopped his bag on the dirt path and fished through it, pulling out a fishbone. “Look,” it dangled loosely from his paw. “This fascinating gem was unearthed by the most perceptive of collectors—that’s me, by the way—Isn’t it neat?”

Some say one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. It seems Touille took that expression quite literally.
