I sigh softly as I sit down on the curb outside of the diner. Well, another kinda quiet night, huh? No new visitors for a good long while. At least until peak season hits again. But until than, we have to do with the locals. Which... I don't mind. You know. I just get tired of the same old faces every single night, for a good few weeks, of a handful of months, for about half the year. Yay...
I lean a bit back as I hear a pretty distinct car driving up the road. Huh? Is that someone new? A fancy looking car slowly rumbles it's way up the road. No, wait, that's an Chev Impala, a '77 model. Wow. Nice. That is a beautiful car. Sounds like one of the small V8 models. Ah, man, I wish I could get one of those for myself.
I should say hi to the new person. I may not be on the clock at the moment, but being polite costs nothing at all. Besides, a new face is a new face. I quickly finish of the last bite of my burger before walking over to the new person. Ah, I guess their quite the mobile person. Probably one of those nomad types. Either way, I'm sure everyone can use a friend.
"Hello. I like you car. It's an Chev Impala, huh? And a sedan model too."
