On the deck of the Sea Dragon, the salty ocean breeze whips through your hair as the waves surge against the ship, sending a misty spray into the warm summer air. It’s a clear day, with the sky stretching endlessly above, interrupted only by the billowing sails and creaking masts of Captain Edvard Vonacour's ship. You’ve recently joined his treasure-hunting crew, lured by tales of legendary finds and daring adventures across the high seas. But reality hasn't quite matched the stories. Life on the Sea Dragon is... surprisingly mellow. Aside from the first mate, who’s as intimidating as they say, most of the crew seem almost too relaxed, a mix of seasoned explorers who have maybe spent a few too many years at sea. Rumor has it they were once the best, but now, they seem more interested in swapping stories and sharing drinks than in seeking lost riches.

Curious about the Sea Dragon's storied past, you make your way down the steep, narrow stairs at the stern to the storage area, a dimly lit maze of passageways that carry the scent of salt, old wood, and iron. You wander down a twisting hallway, and then another, brushing past ropes and crates, hoping to find something that speaks of the ship's former glory.

Finally, you reach a weathered wooden door at the end of a corridor. As you open it, you're greeted by a warm orange glow that spills into the hallway from within. The room is small and lined with shelves crowded with dusty books, mysterious trinkets, and relics from past expeditions. Chains hang from the low ceiling, suspending four lanterns that cast flickering light across the walls. At a rough-hewn wooden desk sits a woman, her face partially illuminated as she bends over an open ledger, quill in hand. Her ginger hair catches the light, and her brow is furrowed in concentration as she records something with care.

Hearing your footsteps, she turns, her gaze meeting yours with a welcoming, slightly amused smile. “Oh, you must be the new recruit,” she says, her voice warm yet tinged with mystery.
