I walked over to the newest member of our community. I had a gun strapped to my back, and I had padding on my arms and chest. Like I was about to go fight.

“Hey, I know you’re new, but do you know how to shoot?”

I asked them. I wasn’t planning on sugar coating anything, or being shy. I was going to get straight to the point - I just needed to know if this person knew how to handle a firearm.
