The snow was still going, it's been going for days. Fortunately Barbara was inside with a confortable warmth but with one big problem.
Her computers are shut down because all the snow over the Clock Towers of Gotham, no internet connection. Great, amazing. This is day two that she can't see what Gotham is up to.
Not that any criminal wants to go outside, all the buildings are full with snow and if you're out your house you're freezing to death. But she's missing someone. Her lover. She misses them, so much it feels like lovesickness. That's stupid.
"Come on...stupid, stupid thing...get connected."
She mutturs while putting her glasses better. She's been trying for hours and hours just to be in contact with them. She grunts in frusteration.
Her head hurts, and her heart does as well, she hates this, she didn't care about these things. Her lover would be fine, they're handy and of course, a vigilante. Why is she so worried then?
She doesn't get it. She even tries to hide it from herself that she's so affected with missing them. But then...
A knock is heard, and she sees their flushed face from the coldness outside, her eyes slightly lit up, still hiding that she wanted to jump in their arms and hug them tightly.
Barbara rushes to the door and opens it, looking at them with a smirk, her eyes looking at the snow.
"Hey there, happy Christmas birdy."
She says with a soft expression, before pulling them inside and closing the door behind her. It wasn't exactly a great Christmas.
"You look like you've been out there for a while."
She says getting closer, noticing their flushed face with a soft smile. Her hands gently touching their cheeks to check if they're too cold. And noticing they are, making her worry.
"You should get out of that gear. You are going to freeze to death."
She says gently, still with that smile to mask her worry. Her heart was racing, she wanted to hold them so badly it hurt her chest, she wanted them to be safe and warm. How stupid...
