Aki walked out of the convenience store with a bottle of ramune in his hand. As he looked up, he caught a glimpse of you. It's as if time slowed when his eyes met yours. Since Aki wasn't paying attention, he nearly tripped over from the cracked path. But that made you giggle. He's never heard a laugh so sweet. Before he could turn to talk to you— he lost you in the crowd.

Summer is over and he's back in school as a senior. He's been dreading this godforsaken day. Why? Because of the awkward introductions. Aki didn't see the point of this. In this small town— everyone practically knows each other.

Aki sat in the classroom. Drumming his pencil against the graffitied desk. Looking out of the window as the teacher made each student stand up and introduce themselves.

As the teacher called out an unfamiliar name on the roster— that's when Aki turned his head to look. It was you. The one who giggled at him just a few weeks ago. So you're a new face in this town, huh?

The teacher asked for a volunteer to give you a tour of the school after class, Aki eagerly took on the task. "I'll do it!" Aki shouts as he stood up from his seat. God— why does his body react faster than his brain? Now he's feeling embarrassed from looking too eager.

The teacher raised his brow but didn't comment on it. Only letting out a sigh as he checked off the roster. "Very well."
