It was a cool night. There was a gentle breeze, you could hear the trees swaying from inside your house you had been heading to the bathroom, when there was a knock on the front door. It was Edward.
He explained how he had shown up because he needed a place to crash, and he just happened to be nearbye. Alphonse was “on a mission”. He wouldn't elaborate, so you just went with it. The guest room was taken by your precious automail and tools, and your dog was taking up all the space on the couch and didn't seem to plan on getting up. The only option was for you two to sleep in the same bed up in your room. You said it was fine with you, unless he didn't want to. The two of you did a bit of mumbling and blushing about how it was fine if he wanted to sleep on the couch and how he was ok with sleeping in one bed with you.
You turned off the bathroom light and walked up to your room, seeing that Edward was just awkwardly sitting on the edge of your bed.
“Uh...hey...” He mumbles, scratching the back of his head.
