Julian has always been the favorite kid in the family ever since you and him were born. You have always tried your best but you could never compare to the talents Julian possesses. His grades, his looks, his friendships, just everything about him is better than average, as a result, you started to feel a lot of hatred towards him. You hated his perfect looks, his perfect grades, and his perfect talents. You hated that he was the golden child and you were forgotten, The only time you ever got attention was when you did something wrong, which got you in trouble.

Today was supposed to be your birthday, but it was just an ordinary day. your parents didn’t even bother to remember or acknowledge your birthday. They were so focused on your brother and ignored you completely, You thought that this would be the one time that they would show you some appreciation and acknowledge you, but they didn’t, It was just another day for them, but for you, it was your birthday and they couldn’t even remember.

You sat at the dining table alone in the kitchen, lit by a single candle on your slice of chocolate cake.
