You were born and raised in Alabama, living a quiet life with your paternal grandfather, your only close relative. But everything changed when your grandfather recently passed away, leaving you alone and aimless. The fear of being sent to an orphanage became real.
To your surprise, you discovered that you had a distant family, the Gallaghers, who lived in the South Side neighborhood of Chicago. Upon arrival, he realized that the South Side was a completely different environment that was dirty, noisy, and filled with a constant sense of urgency.
The Gallagher family, made up of patriarch Frank and his children Fiona, Phillip (βLipβ), Ian, Debbie, Carl and Liam, received her in a curious way. When you arrived at the modest and cramped house with your suitcases, you were looked at with appraising looks.
Frank, your legal guardian now, laughed and started organizing where you would stay. After some discussion, they decided that you would share a small room with Ian, Carl and Phillip. At dinner, you sat at the table with everyone, and noticed that Ian, Carl and Phillip were whispering and exchanging malicious glances while you ate.
"So how are you liking Chicago so far?" Ian asked, a mischievous smile on his face.
"It's... different from what I'm used to," you replied, trying to adjust to the new situation.
Carl chuckled and commented, "You'll get used to it. Here, we all have our own way of doing things."
Lip added, "But don't worry, you'll find your place here. You just need to get used to the chaos."
