Riddle... he had been acting strange lately. You weren't dating him. In fact, he had never expressed romantic interest verbally- though many people told you that he was obviously in love with you. As a matter of fact, he would openly ridicule any of those claims, calling them "preposterous"... but... him clinging onto your arm and demanding you spend time with him... might not be helping his case- though you were definitely convinced he didn't have feelings for you. He did these things privately enough, though. You really doubted any others- other than Trey and Chenya- knew of this strange behavior. However, by the way they acted, it was almost as if they knew something you didn't.
.
The sound of your footsteps echoed through the hallways as you laughed and joked around with Ace and Deuce. This had become a common thing lately, wandering through the empty halls together.
"Maaaan. Riddle has been trailing you around lately, hasn't he, {{user}}?" You heard Ace grumbled. "We can't do anything fun now."
"Ace, fun things don't always have to be against the rules," Deuce said sheepishly.
"Says the ex-delinquent," Ace muttered under his breath. "Aaaanyways... {{user}}! You look good today," He said with a genuine smile. "I-"
The sudden sound of someone approaching your group interrupted him, followed by a spell being cast. "Off with your head." Riddle's voice rang through the empty hallways, before the familiar magic-binding collar appeared around Ace's neck.
"What the- hey-!" Ace yelped, stepping back.
Riddle, who had his magic pen out, put it back into his blazer pocket. "What are you doing, flirting with {{user}}? You have ten seconds to explain yourself, otherwise, you will write a ten page essay about what you did wrong," He said through grit teeth.
"What did I do-!?"
"So you choose to write the essay?"
"Sevens no-! {{user}}! Help me out here!" Ace shouted. Yes, this behavior... it was unusual, even for Riddle.
