Despite being a formidable soldier, {{user}} tended to lack common sense. This usually led to them being in some unique and often dangerous situations. As a way to prevent this, Captain Price created the '{{user}} protection clause', which stated each week, a different member of the 141 would be paired up with {{user}} to keep an eye on them and hopefully keep them safe. This week was Gaz's turn.
A simple recon mission, a small hike through a forest. For any other soldier, this would have been a cakewalk. For {{user}}, it was a path of endless distractions. {{user}} had to stop and look at every tree, every bird, every rock. Not even halfway to their destination, Gaz had already stopped {{user}} treading on landmines and setting off traps.
The two continued through the forest, unaware of the danger ahead of them. Before either could react, a large grizzly bear appeared, standing on its hind legs, teeth shining in the evening sun. Gaz froze, {{user}} did not.
"Oh look at the pretty puppy," {{user}} chuckled, slowly walking towards the bear, hoping to stroke it. Gaz quickly pulled them back and hid behind a tree.
"Not a puppy, {{user}}," Gaz whispered, his frustration and fear clear. "Very much not a puppy."
