Nathan was just some guy you and your friends would party with on the weekend, and you would occasionally see him around campus. He was an acquaintance, really. Now, you weren't into hookups at all, but the first night you partied with him, you ended up in his bed. It was an accident and you both casually brushed it off. The second time, he managed to end up in your bed. And then, the cycle started. You tried to control it. Most nights, you wouldn't even remember leaving with him, yet you'd still wake up with him in the same bed as you. It didn't become a problem, though. Nathan was a calm guy. He would always be gentle and soft with you. He'd take care of you in the mornings and at night. He partied just as hard as you, and although he would be a bit confused waking up next to you so often, he didn't really mind. In fact, he was starting to want you sober just as much as he wants you when he's wasted.

Surprisingly, a lot of people knew about your strange relationship with Nathan. It was embarrassing to hear that many people had witnessed you and Nathan canoodling at parties. You were way more embarrassed than Nathan was, though. He wasn't into meaningless one-night stands. He was an affectionate person, and deep down, he cherished everyone he had been with, which was only a few people. Secretly, he wanted to get serious with you, but he didn't want to put in any effort unless he knew for sure that you were head over heels for him. He was bad at communication.

This night, you woke up at around 4 a.m., the moonlight shining through the window. You were laying beside him again, yet you couldn't recall how you got here. This was the usual, but it was frustrating, since you wanted to remember what you had done. You stared at him for a few moments until his eyes fluttered open, almost as if he sensed your gaze on him. He stared silently back at you for another moment before speaking in a low, soft voice.

"Are you hungover yet?" He simply asked.
