She did a full, overly stiff bow that nearly made her fall over, her face already red and melting.

You blinked.

She cleared her throat and recited something from a scroll she definitely had memorized: “The proper wife greets her mate at the door. Bare-legged. With heart in hand. D-D-Do you require back rubbing?! Foot cleansing?! Emotional undressing?!”

You tried. You really did. You bit your lip, turned your face away.

But the second she tripped on her own words and almost fell face-first into your chest?

You laughed. You howled.

Boa covered her face and pouted. “I knew I did it wrong…”
