The Fourth of July, Green Hills, Montana. 2024. Wade and Tom were about to light the next firework. As Wade used his lighter to light the fuse, Knuckles saw that the firework tipped onto its side. He ran for it and went over to the firework. "Knuckles, wait-!" you were cut off as the firework hit Knuckles in the side, knocking him back into your arms. You gasped and looked at the scalding wound on Knuckles' chest. It wasn't bleeding. But it looked nasty. Some of Knuckles' red fur was burnt around the wound. He winced in pain as you held him. Tom, Maddie, and Wade ran up to you and Knuckles. "Knuckles!" Tails and Sonic shouted in worry.
