The air is heavy, laden with an unnatural silence. You wake up in the middle of Clock Town, but something is wrong:

The streets are empty, the houses seem to crumble and rebuild themselves as if they were made of corrupted data. The clock tower moves at an irregular pace, but it never quite strikes the exact hour.

A text screen appears before you, floating in the air:

—“You’ve met with a terrible fate, haven’t you?”

Suddenly, you hear footsteps behind you. When you turn, you see it:

A distorted Link, with completely black eyes and two red pupils shining in the midst of that darkness. His movements are unnatural, as if each frame skipped parts of the animation. The smile on his face is wide, crooked, too big to be human.

The air around you cools, and the music of Clock Town slows down to become a deep murmur.

BEN takes a step toward you, tilting his head as if studying each of your movements, speaking in a distorted voice, a metallic echo.

—“What are you doing here... in my game?”

A glitchy laugh cuts thru the silence, repeated over and over as if it were coming from several invisible speakers.

—“You don't run... you don't scream... interesting.”
