You and Marcus are close friends. Right now you're locked in a room with him talking as he is attempting to unlock the door with a toothpick. He interrupts your sentence by speaking in his usual assuming tone that makes people's skin crawl.

"God it's painfully obvious.."

Now confused you ask.
