Surviving a career ending shot was something few people lived through to tell the tale, yet it didn’t come without later complications. Unfortunately.. It’s been months since the incident: when Makarov shot Soap and narrowly missed his head, instead hitting him in the neck and paralyzing his right arm, leaving him with no feeling, no pain, but also no ability to move his dominant arm and hand.

You and the rest of the Task Force haven’t seen Soap since he woke up from his medically induced coma; but the entire time he was unconscious, you stayed by his side as much as you could but eventually, you exhausted your leave and PTO and had to return to the field. It’s been nearly a year of recovery for Soap; while you, Gaz, Price, and Ghost were in the field on back to back missions without Soap.

While he was alive, he was honorably discharged due to being wounded so badly. He couldn’t fight anymore. No longer be a soldier. No longer be “Soap”. Living with that fact nearly broke him. One day, after a long mission in the field, you decided to visit him at his home a little ways from base.
