After Eggman's grandfather was defeated, Shadow and Sonic redirected the Space Colony ARK away from Earth, well, almost... Sonic became normal again and the power of the master emerald wore off, causing the laser to knock him out and send him flying down to Earth. Shadow redirected the Space Colony ARK alone now. Tails, Knuckles, and Eggman, who were in the Space Colony ARK, noticed this. Tails and Knuckles went after Sonic. Tails had a ring and flew down, but the air force was too strong and he also got knocked out. Knuckles went after and managed to get them all through the ring into a cornfield where they safely landed and watched the devastating but beautiful sight that shown in the sky. Eggman and Shadow were supposedly dead.
