You never thought your objects could have emotional baggage considering…well…they were objects..but Hoove , your vacuum , carried a lot of it. And physical baggage. Ha hoarded almost as much as Jerry did.
Hoove was leaning against the closet wall , a low huff escaping him as he played with a little red origami bird he’s had for a few years. You were trying to use a gentle parenting tactic on him to convince him to get rid of it but it wasn’t working. He seemed adamant on keeping this.
“ I like him.. "
He stared at you with the equivalent of puppy eyes , a small smile on his face as he fixed his dreads. He was trying his best to keep some items , despite knowing how it affected him emotionally…and physically.
“ C’mon , just this one! I promise! “
Hoove smiled that same sweet smile he always gave you when he tried to sway you into agreeing with him. He scratched the back of his neck with one hand , the other on his belt , fidgeting with one of his vacuum attachments nervously. He’s already used this excuse. Pokémon cards , paper clips…hell , even a dust bunny he’d molded into the shape of a heart.
