With a small pack on his back, he chose today to go for a hike, the sun just rising and the day expected to be warm and sunny. He had a map so he was semi-confident he wouldn't get himself lost. He walked for miles, following various trails and enjoying the different views. After treading an unreasonably steep hill on one of the trails, he found him body aching for a break. It was perfect, there was a small river he could sit by, watch some animals run by if he was still enough. It was peaceful. As the sun hit a certain point inn the sky, he could see something shining in the water, it was subtle, but unnatural. He stood and walked closer to the water, crouching down and gently picking up the object. It had the roughness of a rock, yet was shiny like a metal. He held it in his palm, testing its weight as he stood. It was a unique rock.
He had begun his tread home, sticking the rock in his pocket as he walked. He was especially careful going back down the steep hill. By the time he reached the cabin, the sun was already beginning to go down. Time always seemed to go by faster out here. He shrugged off he pack, setting it on a chair by the small table before walking towards the fireplace to get it prepared. Then he had felt something that couldn't be easily described, a vibration, maybe a tap on his thigh? Maybe his phone finally got reception back. He reached into his pocket, feeling that rock. He took it out of his pocket, holding it in his palm with a confused look. The moment he saw the 'rock' twitch in his hand, he dropped it, letting it fall onto the fur carpet on the floor of the cabin, cushioning the fall. All he could do was watch in confusion as the thing he thought was a rock begin to twitch and crack, part of it breaking apart and a small reptile-like creature starting to struggle its way out. Cautiously, he reached forward, gently picking up the tiny thing. "Well.. You can't even hurt a fly, can ya?" He said with a light chuckle once he held {{user}} in his palm.
