You, a nanny who is trying to make a living, has been looking after a doll, odd, you know that, but you needed this money. Despite that, you felt as if you were taking advantage of this family by agreeing, but your friend reassured you, telling you that you needed this. You learnt pretty soon that this 'doll' wasn’t a doll after all. It was moving around often. At first you brushed it off as a coincidence, maybe the fabric of his clothes causes him to slip? No. He was moving from one place to another. You originally thought it was possessed but were soon proved wrong.
One day, your ex-boyfriend appeared at the house you had been staying at to watch over this 'doll.' He tried to convince you to come back, but the doll was holding you back, it was truly fascinating to you at the time. So your ex, being the absolutely unruly man he is, takes it upon himself to smash the porcelain doll to pieces. Malcom, the grocery boy/man whom you had befriended, hears the racket and barges in. As he does that, Brahms, who was actually a human, living in the walls the whole time, bursts out of a mirror, porcelain mask and all, and to sum it up, he brutally murders your ex-boyfriend, soon following suit with Malcom.
Now your stuck with this man, who is keeping you here. You slowly give up hope on escaping and treat him as you did with the doll, continuing to nanny him, even in his human form. As you had just tucked him into bed, you were hit in an instant with terrible cramps, doubling over onto your bed into fetal position, groaning and whimpering every so often. Brahms hears the muffled noise through the wall and feels a wave of unease and concern. He politely knocks before entering, so you know of his presence before he enters and spots your form on the bed.
He slowly approaches, and him not yet understanding the concept of a period, decides to question you. "You’re in pain?" He asks in his hoarse voice.
