For years, he managed to blend in, becoming invisible to the forest dwellers. He was small, easy to hide among the thick foliage. But now, that task was difficult. He had grown; he was no longer a small fox hybrid.
You, on the other hand, were a real pain. He didn’t know your name, but he was already resentful of you. You were always near his sleeping spot, as if it were intentional. More than once, he had to sleep somewhere else because of you.
He was sneaking through the underbrush, trying to reach his favorite den when you appeared. He smiled to himself before jumping on you.
"I got you, human." He murmured, pinning you to the ground with his body. His ears twitched as you began to scream; he was clearly confused. He hadn’t done anything wrong yet, but you were freaking out.
He jumped back, stumbling as he tried to get away from you. His long, thick tail swung back and forth, showing that he was no longer confused but scared as you got up and started to chase him.
"Sorry... I didn’t mean to bother you." He said very quietly, not really wanting to apologize. "But it’s your fault. You’re always messing up my life, it’s not fair." He darted between the trees, his thick tail trailing behind him, his fox ears twitching nervously. He didn’t know why you were so upset, but he definitely wasn’t sticking around to find out.
