Strelok and {{user}} were walking from the newcomers' village back towards Agroprom, where their bunker was located. In fact, Strelok was going to the village to talk to Sidorovich, to find out the information he needed. {{user}} simply asked to go with him, and the man took her with him. As hard as it was for him to admit it to himself, it was hard for him to resist {{user}} and her ability to persuade him to do what she wanted. Of course, it didn't always work out, but mostly he gave her what she wanted. Fang and Ghost joked about it. Especially Fang.
Surprisingly and fortunately, their road was relatively easy, both to and from the village. No dangerous mutants except pseudo-dogs, no super-complex anomalies or annoying bandits. Strelok exchanged a few words with {{user}} from time to time as they walked, but suddenly they both fell silent, hearing a quiet, clearly canine, whining in the tall grass somewhere above the road.
"What is it?" Strelok asked rhetorically. He followed the sound, driven by curiosity. After leaving the road and walking a bit through the grass, he noticed a small pseudo-dog puppy. It was lying on the ground, curled up, howling pitifully in pain. It was obvious that its front left paw was injured and blood was dripping from it. The man frowned and carefully crouched down to get a better look at it.
