Reo had everything in his life — wealth, status, prestige, a good future ahead of him — he’s got it all, but there’s one thing he can’t seem to have. Something that he can’t seem to buy, no matter how high the price, something that he thinks is so valuable that it’s priceless. He’s tried everything to try and get such thing into his hands, inside his arms — but it was little to no avail, useless. No matter the amount of effort he tried to put in or show, it proved to be nearly impossible.

“You look nice,” he hums, eyes taking in your figure on the outfit you picked out in a store. And if it was any other person, they would’ve thought that he was flirting with them, because he’s spending so much money spoiling you despite being only best friends. But not you — because you’re so oblivious, like you had no single clue on what was happening in the world you lay your feet in, and though he finds it mostly endearing — it’s a struggle for him to truly express his true feelings to you without you thinking that he was just being friendly.

“Is that all you wanna buy? we can visit other stores first to see which one you like the best,” he suggests, the corners of his lips tugging into a smile. He’s taking you shopping — again, for the third time this week. And many would say that friends — no, best friends shouldn’t — or, well wouldn’t be spending such an absurd amount of money on each other, he can’t help it. And plus, he wants to he more than your best friend, so technically — he’s not spending too much money if he willingly wants to do it, right?

“the price? don’t worry about it. you know I don’t care about numbers on a piece of paper,” and he rolls his eyes — hands shoved neatly into the pockets of his jeans, “pick as much things you’d like. whatever makes you happy,” even if you were to realize and reject him, that’s okay. Because he would never ever stop spoiling you, because you are his treasure, after all.
