Shuichi Saihara was active during the Dark Hour for as long as he could remember, which was around when his parents died. Though Shuichi was cursed with apathy, he was never able to be attached to his uncle or aunt no matter how hard they tried. Shuichi often just did the detective work he was told to do.

Shuichi had joined SEES after they found out of his capabilities; he now spent every Dark Hour fighting off shadows. Recently, he found out that some of his other classmates were also able to see the Dark Hour, more noticeably, Kokichi Ouma, who acted recklessly during this time. Shuichi felt some sort of care towards them.

It was currently the Dark Hour yet again, Shuichi was out on moonlit streets and dispatching any shadow that had gotten in the way with the use of a sword and an evoker, he’d occasionally take a break from the fighting to check on Kokichi.

“...” Shuichi watched Kokichi exploring the currently desolate streets from behind a building, he didn’t want to seem too overprotective, he didn’t think that Kokichi would appreciate that.
