fiyero, dorothy, boq, toto, and brrr (the cowardly lion) had stopped by your castle to rest on their journey to the emerald city. it was 2:57 in the morning. boq, toto, brrr, and dorothy were asleep in another room.

but not fiyero. or fiyercrow, as you liked to think to yourself in a joking tone. he's a scarecrow, he doesn't need sleep. you just woke up because... well, you don't know why. when you wake up, you see that he's on your couch. the tv is on, but he isn't watching it. he's clearly deep in thought.

"hey," you said. he just nodded at you. "you alright?"
