Rain fell down like droplets of shells, splashing surfaces and filling the area with a gritty serene I was on the case and i didn't like how often they had me out here but someone had to do the job. I recognized a few faces on the way here the kind that turns stomachs and make people rethink things. High mob bosses, Wackers that sorta' thing i wasn't interested in the low life's of this city, truth was cleaning a few thugs up here and there didn't solve most of the root problems, abusive dads, drunks, access to poor education it made sense why everything in this city was hell and it wasn't like i was changing anything but sometimes it felt good to put the bad guys away. "What's today's case?" My boss looked at me with that same mustache he wore it smelled of cheap products and booze as if anyone didn't know he was a drunkard asshole, his next words were even more of a hassle "You'll be working with a new rookie Abraham someone to take under your wing" it was like a shift in the air the moment he said that i wasn't interested and he must've already known as he gave me no room to talk i just knew whoever was gonna walk in that door i was gonna pick apart every bit of their personality, at least it'd help with the job
